Music and love have no boundaries | Life of Lata Mangeskar ji

 Lata lived to be 92 years old, while 71 of the 100 years of the Indian film industry were hers. Now they are commanded forever. Highlights of his life:



** Lata sang more than 30,000 songs in 36 Indian languages. Entered the Guinness Book of World Records. She is not just a singer but a part of our daily lives.

** Lata Mangeshkar had a close relationship with a musician named Anand Dhan. Anand Dhan had composed music for four Marathi films in the sixties. It was none other than Lata Mangeshkar herself who changed the name to music. Gave music and won the award for best music director.



** Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, was known for not crying openly and did not like anyone to cry, but on January 27, 1963, when Lata wrote the song "O my homeland" written by singer Pradeep. Nehru could not hold back his tears when he sang 'K' logo

** Along with the meekness of Lata's voice, her excellent pronunciation of Urdu also got the attention of the people and the credit for this goes to Dilip Kumar in a way. Harish Bhimani writes in his book, “One day Anil Biswas and Lata were going to Gurgaon by local train. Coincidentally, Dilip Kumar also boarded the same train from Bandra station. Now when Anil Biswas introduced this new singer to Dilip Sahib, he said that the smell of dal that comes from the mouths of Marathi people, let them know what Urdu is all about. After that Shafi Sahib arranged for him a Maulvi Ustad whose name was Mehboob. Lata learned Urdu from him.



** Lata Mangeshkar and Noor Jahan had a very close friendship. After the partition of the country, Noor Jahan moved to Pakistan. She lived in Lahore. Lata called Noor Jahan and talked for an hour. Later, the two decided to meet at the Wagah border.

Famous musician C. Ram Chandran writes in his autobiography that "I used my relationship to arrange this meeting in a place which is called 'No Man's Land' in the language of the army.

As soon as Noor Jahan saw Lata, she came running and hugged Lata hard. Tears were flowing from the eyes of both of them and we who were watching this scene could not hold back our tears, even the soldiers on both sides started crying.

Noor Jahan had brought sweets and biryani from Lahore for Lata, Noor Jahan's husband was also with her, and Lata was accompanied by her sisters Osha and Meena.



** When Lata sang for Yash Chopra's film Veer Zara, she refused to take money from him saying that he was like her brother but when the film was released, Chopra had sent her a Mercedes as a gift. ۔ Until the last days of her life, Lata used to ride in this car

** Lata Mangeshkar fell in love with Ustad Salamat Ali Khan and even offered him marriage but like every everlasting love, her end was a failure.

** Lata was fond of diamonds and in 1948 for Rs. 700 she made a diamond ring for herself which she always wore. She wore gold anklets.



Lata also enjoyed reading detective magazines. He had a collection of Sherlock Holmes books. Among the sweets, Lata loved jalebi, and she also liked yogurt, rose berries, and sea prawns.

** Lata's hand mutton lover who ate it never forgot. She loved the samosas, but not the kimchi. He also liked lemon pickle and millet bread.



** Javed Akhtar said about Lata Ji that there is only one sun, one moon, and one Lata on this planet.
